O Patio

September 14, 2010

Name: O Patio

Location: Angra do Heroismo, next to O Central Pasteleria, just off the main square headed away from the ocean

Hours: closed between lunch and dinner

Cuisine: Traditional Portuguese

Brought to the table: Bread, Cheeses, Olives

English Speaking Staff: Yes

Nice quiet location, although possible it has some busy times too.  Cute decorating inside that gives it a traditional feel.  Serves traditional Portuguese food with a selection of fish and meat.  The staff is very friendly.  As with most traditional restaurants, the food may take some time to get to your table since it is prepared fresh.  Enjoy the plate of cheese, bread and olives while you wait for your entree.  Good for lunch or dinner.  Average prices with large portions.

It’s me again…. lol! We just tried this one last week and really loved the atmosphere! It was warm enough to eat outside (on the patio) and it was just so quaint and nice, with the fountain there and everything. We took the kids and they loved it too. The man serving us was super nice and he mentioned the kids could just get hamburgers if they wanted, which made it easy and cheaper. During lunch on weekdays they have a Plate of the Day (meat or fish) for 5 Euros.
