La Traviata

August 29, 2010
tags: , ,

Name: La Traviata

Location: Lajes; From the main gate on base, turn right, when the road dead ends, turn right, and the restaurant will be a little ways down on the left side

Hours: Likely closed between lunch and dinner hours

Cuisine: Italian

English Speaking Staff: Some servers speak English

La Traviata offers quick and easy Italian foods.  Pizzas are good, but depending how hungry you are, one might be enough for a single person as the crust is very thin.  The crepes had too much cheese, but were still tasty after some cheese was removed.  Also a popular choice with Americans and is not too far from the base.  Makes for good leftovers.  Very fun decor on the inside.

    Hi,

    I agree with your comment´s on Traviata´s pizza… that crust could be better… 🙂

There is also a place in Angra very popular among tourists that you should try (in case you haven´t already):

    “Quinta do Martelo”

This is a traditional restaurant and etnographic center

Yes, we actually just went to Quinta Do Martelo a few days ago since I have visitors in town. I had been once before. It is a really great experience and I plan to post on it soon. Thanks again for your suggestions and comments.
