This restaurant is a favorite with Americans.  The staff is friendly, they speak English, and if you have been there more than once, chances are they remember you.  The location is beautiful, right in Porto Martins at the swimming area.  Italian specialities that taste just how you would expect.  If you are adventurous with seafood, try the lapas as a starter.  These are popular on the island.  They have a great Greek salad which is almost always on their special list.  Although the special list does change, you will likely find staples that remain, including the eggplant parmesan, which is absolutely delicious.  There are plenty of other pasta options, as well as meat dishes.  For dessert, you must the the Bananas Foster at least once.  They will prepare this table side, and serve it over ice cream.  If you are not too hungry, one is good enough for two people.  The tiramisu here is also a popular option.

This is another location that is great for large groups.  They are not only accomodating, but welcoming of large groups.  It is a nice place to celebrate.  Make sure to contact them in advance to ensure they have space for you.  Since this is a popular place, if you go on the weekends, plan for a wait.  Maybe not a always a wait for a table, but usually a wait for the food.  It is to be expected, so do not be surprised.  The food is worth the wait.

The staff is friendly? Haha that’s a joke. The waitress, the short skinny one is the most misrable person i’ve ever met in my life. I quit going there because of her. She’s a misreable train wreck. Good food, but horrible wait staff, just because of her

I am very sorry to hear you had some bad experiences there. I have not lived there in about 2 years but do keep in touch with the staff from time to time, at least those that were there during our tour. I can’t speak for anyone new.

We just went here yesterday and had a great experience. The weather has been poor, and we had a later lunch, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was outstanding! This will become a regular spot for us, for sure!
