This restaurant recently went through some changes in the kitchen.  It seems now the new chef has settled in and the menu has been updated.  Since this change, the food has been constantly improving back to it’s original glory.  Although the delicious bruschetta is no longer on the menu, many other familiar items are, including the BioFontinhas Salad (organic and local).  If you like steak, try the steak on the rock.  Consider ordering it not as well cooked as you would like.  Once the steak is brought to the table, it continues cooking in front of you.  The swordfish with passion fruit vinaigrette is also a popular favorite.  This dish can also be prepared using wreckfish, a popular fish on the island.  If you are adventurous, give the octopus a try.  It is a local delicacy.

This location is also good for large group parties and special events.  They can accomodate larger crowds in their second dining room, which keeps you out of the way of other diners.  They handle groups well and you can place the food orders in advance to minimize confusion at your event.

Swordfish with passionfruit vinaigrette sounds great! I keep passing all of these fish markets over here, but I have yet to have any seafood other than prawns. I haven’t even gotten the chance to try the fish and chips yet!
