A great hangout spot to enjoy good music and good friends. Both locals and Americans can agree this is a fun spot, and it’s not just for the weekends. Plus, you really can’t beat the live music. Grab your friends and go to Praia Rock Cafe to enjoy the Praia nightlife.

What type of food do they serve?
I think just snack foods during the day, but mostly just a bar at night. I know it is a very popular evening hangout spot, especially if you like music.
THEY MOVED! Praia Rock Cafe is now located in the building where A Porta was- right outside the main gate of Lajes! Beer is still reasonably cheap, although it went up .50 euro cents….1.50e for a mini Super Bock, 2.00e for a full size…they also have a full liquor bar and the capability to make coffee and food items (I didn’t order any so no clue on quality or price)….but a big thing, along with more space, they are making the smokers go out on the deck now, so no more squished smoky place! 🙂 Since Wednesday the band plays covers every Friday night! Cabs are across the street! There is parking across the street and behind the bar! Again, awesome location!!!

Sergio is trying very hard to get different bands in and since he has done this I have been going more often! Besides Since Wednesdays, A guy named Shannon leads a band. Sings a variety of music. The Island Bombs are fun. They also sing a variety of genres. The Three Old Men are too cute and they know their music (classic rock to 60’s, 70’s) Better location for the bands.
